One of the most popular and often asked questions from our customers is just exactly what it is we DO take and what we DO NOT take from a house clearance. As a result we have compiled a list of everything we do take or can take and a list of items we can’t or won’t take away and dispose of.

What we *DO take from a House Clearance

We take away and dispose of all the following general house-hold items and junk from a property:

  • Gas & electric cookers (we can disconnect all appliances providing they have standard fitments)
  • Washers & dryers
  • Fridges, freezers & fridge freezers
  • Cutlery, pots & pans & bric-a-brac in general
  • Domestic paint & cleaning products
  • Carpets, rugs, underlay & lino
  • Sofas, sofa beds, beds & mattresses
  • Clothing, bedding, sheets & other linen
  • All electricals from toasters & kettles to TVs
  • Bedroom suites, dining room suites, wardrobes, drawers, side-boards & other storage items
  • Toys, soft furnishings, paper & cardboard
  • Wood, metal & other items of junk
  • Toys, soft furnishings, paper & cardboard

*These items are all classed as general house-hold which we are able to take away and dispose of as part of the house clearance, all inclusive with the actual house clearance.

What we *CAN take from a House Clearance

We can take away and dispose of all the following non-house-hold type of items from a property:

  • Stair-lifts (we can remove stair-lifts providing they have a standard fitting)
  • Laminate flooring, wall tiles & floor tiles
  • Fitted kitchens, bathroom suites & fitted wardrobes
  • Garden sheds, gazebos & green houses
  • Sharps (hypodermic needles)
  • Human & animal waste/feces
  • Animal carcases (rats, mice, pigeons etc.)
  • Verminous waste & decaying food waste
  • Green waste & other garden waste
  • Asbestos & other hazardous (COSHH) materials
  • Motor vehicles, boats, caravans, motor bikes & other machinery
  • Flood damaged/fire damaged waste
  • Fly-tipped waste
  • Large panes of glass, builders rubble, concrete, & soil

*These items are classed as non-house-hold type of waste and usually would not be taken away and disposed of under a normal or standard house clearance. We can quote separately for the removal and disposal of any of the above items if present in a property.

What we CAN’T or WON’T take from a House Clearance

There is literally nothing we can’t or won’t take away from a house clearance or property. We are fully licenced, fully insured and fully trained, skilled and equipped to deal with anything that comes our way.
