We were appointed to carry out a very cluttered and verminous house clearance of a 3 bedroom terraced house in Cannock, Staffordshire. On a scale of 1-10 the property was a 10 in terms of clutter, and although not every room was verminous there were traces of animal and human feces along with a large quantity of decaying food waste and a a dead animal.

We sent 2 of our large unmarked vans and 8 members of our highly trained and experienced staff who had the property cleared within 8 hours, starting at 8 and finishing at 4. It took the men 8 van loads to clear the property, with over 10 tonnes of clutter being removed.

The usual clutter was removed, such as newspapers, books, clothing, empty cans, bottles and food packets. Several large items of furniture were also removed, namely 2 single beds, a double bed, a large wardrobe, drawers, a sofa and the white goods. The fridge freezer had the remains of a small dog inside which wasn’t particularly pleasant.

Only 25% of the contents were recycled, namely the wooden items, and scrap metal.
