Nationwide were appointed to carry out a one-off deep property clean of a 3 bedroom terraced house in Chiswick, Greater London following an unattended death in the property. The body had sadly lay there for 3 weeks undiscovered.

The Chiswick house had also been decluttered of all junk, soiled materials and other misc items before the one-off deep clean. The declutter took 2 hours to carry out.

We had already decluttered and cleaned this property when the owner was still alive so it was extremely saddening to have to come back a year later to carry out the same service following the death of the owner.

After decluttering the property which involved removing a soiled mattress, soiled carpets, old clothing, decaying food waste, empty bottles of alcohol, several items of damaged or unneeded furniture, junk from the garage and an old car, the 4 experienced members of staff started the one-off deep clean.

The men split up into 2 teams, with team one tackling downstairs and team two upstairs. Team one used a steam-cleaner on the kitchen and downstairs toilet to sanitise and get rid of bacteria and they also cleaned all appliances such as the cooker, washer, microwave and fridge freezer.

They also cleaned all internal windows, woodwork, rugs and carpets and several items of furniture were also sanitised as well as the conservatory area.

Team two steam-cleaned the bathroom and shower room and also removed blood and other bodily fluids from items of furniture and flooring.

They also cleaned all internal windows and woodwork as well as several items of furniture such as the double bed which the body had lay undiscovered on. The mattress which was badly soiled had been removed earlier that morning.

In total following the declutter it took the men 5 full hours to completely clean the property.
