Nationwide were appointed to carry out a house clearance of a 2 bedroom upstairs flat in Preston, Lancashire. The property was an unattended death clearance with the body sadly laying there for over 8 weeks. There had also been a pet dog in the property that had also sadly passed away in the flat.

We sent 3 of our highly experienced and trained men to carry out the clearance which was partial in its nature. The customer requested that we cleared the entire contents of the room in which the person had sadly lay dead unattended which included a double bed and mattress which was quite soiled, a treble wardrobe and its contents, two drawers, clothing, misc items and the carpet and underlay.

We were also asked to removed a large leather reclining chair and a two seater leather reclining sofa from the living room. In bedroom two the men were asked to remove a large double bed and mattress, clothing and carpet and underlay.

It took the men 2 full hours to remove the items using one full van load. We were given full permission to publish the photos and to do a case study write-up.
