Nationwide were appointed to clear a large abandoned industrial warehouse unit in Colchester, Essex. The industrial unit was a private property that had been let to a manufacturing firm who went bust and left the contents inside the unit. Within months vandals had broken in and basically trashed the place and made an awful mess.

It was our job to remove everything and then sweep the place out so that the unit could be redeveloped and then sold. We were contacted via e-mail first and after requesting photos we decided to visit the premies free of charge so we could fully understand what we were dealing with.

After visiting we sent off our quote and our analysis and we were appointed a few days later. The client wanted the property cleared ASAP so we sent 8 of our highly trained, fully insured and licenced men to carry out the clearance. The men arrived in one of our company cars and one of our large custom designed luton crew cab vans.

It took us 3 full days to clear the contents which consisted mainly of wood of all kinds, metal racking, cardboard, plastic, glass, some office furniture and quite a few tins, drums and cans of hazardous chemicals.

The property had a kitchen, a mezzanine floor with several partitioned offices and there was also fly-tipped waste dotted in and around the unit, namely chemicals and tires.

We took away 8 full van loads and also filled2 40-yard skips that we arranged to the premises in order to speed up the clearance. 100% of the contents were fully recycled.
