Nationwide were appointed to clear a 2 bedroom terraced property in Port Talbot, Wales. The property also contained a shed and an outhouse building that also needed cleared.

We sent 3 of our fully uniformed and insured men to carry out the clearance who started upstairs first, removing a large double bed and a bedroom suite from one bedroom as well as lots of misc junk. In the other bedroom they removed a single bed, a set of drawers, a rug and other items.

From downstairs the men removed a sofa, a table and set of chairs, some white goods and other house-hold items. From the shed and outhouse they removed various items of junk.

The men were also asked by the customer to remove a stair-case and to remove the carpets which they were initially told to leave down. Removing a stair-case isn’t a problem for us nor removing carpets, we did this at no extra cost.

It took the men 4 hours to clear the property in full, even sweeping up debris after the carpets had been removed.

75% of the contents were recycled with several items donated to a local charity. The men also found several World War 2 medals, a War diary and many other personal artifacts as the customer’s father had served in the armed forces.
