Nationwide House Clearance were exclusively appointed to clear Great Brampton House in Madley, Hereford. The substantial large mansion property sat in 11 acres of land and consisted of 13 bedrooms and 6 reception rooms. The grounds also contained 3 large cottages and a large barn.
We sent 4 of our uniformed, fully trained, experienced and licenced staff in our large crew cab luton box van to carry out the clearance. The men had to be extra careful removing furniture and items from a property that contained over four million pounds worth of antiques in it.
When our men arrived they were met by the secretary of the property, the former home of Thomas Miller of Millers Antiques Price Guide fame. They were first shown around the property and 3 cottages and barn that also contained items to be cleared, and then they were handed a list of what was needing removed.
All items that were needing removed also contained a label stating “For Nationwide House Clearance”. In total there were over 200 items from the properties ranging from large items such as sofas to bric-a-brac and paintings.
The men quickly established that two full van loads would be needed to remove and dispose of the items. It took them 6 hours to carry out the total clearance with 100% recycled.
Most of the furniture was new and in really good condition, while some of the older furniture was collectable and therefore recyclable. There was lots of bric-a-brac and misc items for charity.
Once the clearance was completed the men were shown around the property in full, admiring the many luxurious rooms and fine antiques and art. This is without doubt the most pleasurable property clearance we have ever undertaken.
