We were appointed to carry out a rather cluttered house clearance of a large 3 bedroom detached cottage in Berwick, Northumberland. We also had to clean the property and remove and dispose of a vehicle from the garage which we later sold on ebay for the customer.

The property consisted of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a large bathroom and a kitchen plus a large double garage and outhouse building. We sent 4 men using our large crew cab van to clear the house and it took the men 6 hours to clear and clean it in total.

The men removed the usual large items of furniture from the property such as beds, wardrobes, sofas, chairs, tables and drawers. There was lots of clutter in the form of books, bedding, clothing, bags of junk, tools and other assorted loose clutter. The carpets also had to be removed.

Once the property was cleared the men cleaned it fully – carrying out a thorough one off deep clean – including cleaning the white goods which were to be left in the property.

In total 75% of the contents from the property were recycled.

There were also 3 vehicles residing at the property, two of which the customer decided to keep as they were in good working order. The other vehicle was trapped under lots of clutter and junk in the garage and did not start. The initial plan was to scrap the vehicle, but on further inspection it was clearly a rare classic car.

The customer asked us if we could help him sell the vehicle so we listed it on ebay and within a week it had been sold. The car is now fully restored and back on the road.
