We were appointed to carry out the clearance of 14 student accommodation flats in Hampstead, Camden, Greater London for the Medical Research Foundation which is a charity in England.

The flats – located in one large court in Hampstead, Camden – are owned by the MRF and are being renovated. We won the bid to clear the 14 flats, 10 were to be cleared in one full day and the other 4 in another day as they were occupied at the time.

On day one – to clear the 10 flats – we sent 3 vans and 7 members of our staff. Starting at 7.00am the 7 fully uniformed and insured members of Nationwide staff cleared the 10 flats by 4.00pm in the afternoon. The following week we sent our crew cab luton van with 4 members of staff to clear the last remaining 4 flats.

Of the 14 flats, most contained at least 1 single bed, a set of drawers, 1 electric cooker, a dining room table and chairs, a coffee table and a fridge freezer. Several flats were 3 to 4 bedrooms. Each kitchen contained bric-a-brac while the cupboards contained coat hangers and other misc items.

The 14 flats were cleared in full using a total of 3 vans and 7 members of staff who cleared the entire contents of the 14 flats using 5 full van loads. 95% of the contents were recycled, with 75% donated to charity.

The men removed in total 14 dining tables & chairs, 10 coffee & occasional tables, 17 futon/sofa beds, 32 sets of drawers, 26 single beds, 4 double beds, 12 electric cookers which we disconnected, 6 fridge freezers and 1 fridge, 2 desks, 2 shelving units and various misc junk.
